TRENT SOUND IS THE SOUND OF NOTTINGHAM
Recent changes in Independent Local Radio (ILR) in Nottingham has meant that our
city no longer had ANY commercial radio station designed to exclusively serve the
city of Nottingham.
We were inspired to launch a new service capturing the magic, fun and local identity
of Radio Trent in the 1980s and early 1990s. Something we believe neither London’s
Capital FM or Smooth Radio simply cannot do as most of its programming comes from
London.
Broadcasting exclusively online, the station focuses on the principles of the original
UK independent local radio network. We very much value the support of local people
and genuinely welcome your ideas for programmes and content, so we can create a truly
local radio station to serve Nottingham city.
Trent Sound is a member of The International Association of Internet Broadcasters.
