The most popular way to listen is via our website, our webplayer is embedded into our homepage. The player has a ‘pop out’ function, this means that it can be launched as a wholly separate window which can remain open even when your normal web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or Google Chrome etc) is closed. The standard link for website listening is www.facebook.com/trentsound. The audio service via our website is broadcast at 192 kbps 44.1KHz stereo using the mp3 codec.
MOBILE PHONE/TABLET APPS
With the increasing popularity of IOS and Android mobile devices, we have developed and launched separate apps for use on Apple mobile devices and across a wide range of Android devices. These applications are designed to be simple and straightforward to use and can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play respectively. There are links for both apps on our homepage, the audio service for mobile devices is broadcast at 48 kbps 44.1KHz stereo using the aac+ codec.
We have a webplayer embedded into our Facebook page, this player launches as a ‘pop

needing to visit our website.

Trent Sound is registered with most internet radio manufacturers, we have been particularly with the quality of Logitech’s ‘Squeezebox’ receiver - it’s the one we use ourselves at the station!

Our station is also registered with various websites which allow you to listen to a variety of internet-based stations via a single ‘radio’ website, the most popular of these is www.tunein.com which carries both our AAC+ & mp3 streams.
